To advance the driving characteristics of the BMW 5 Series thecompany BBS offered the folowing products: airdams and light alloy wheels. These items were available at the official BMW dealerships.

The cast of the light alloy rims was done by the company MAHLE. For the BMW E12 the size of 7Jx14 HS with a rim offset of 11 mm were available. The rim has a weight of 6,6 kg. But before driving the rims they had be recorded to the car documents (Germany). The included TÜV-report had to shown to the tester to get the additional record.
